Wimberley Wellspring Christian Academy
Coming Soon
Wimberley Wellspring Christian Academy is a developing Christ-centered classical school for students in grades six through twelve.
The complete hybrid and full-time school is currently planned to open in fall 2027, so it will not operate as a full school during the 2026-27 academic year.
Fall 2026 Classical Art Program
Wellspring plans to offer a founding Classical Art Studio and Art History program beginning in September 2026.
The program is expected to:
- Serve students in grades six through twelve
- Meet once a week for approximately 2.5 hours
- Be limited to 12 students
- Include drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking and art history
- Be taught through a biblical and classical perspective

Homeschool Programs
The Orchard
The Orchard is a Jesus-centered, Charlotte Mason-inspired homeschool community offering a weekly drop-off enrichment day, nature study, family events and monthly field trips.
Wimberley Campus Information
Ages: Preschool ages 3-5 and kindergarten through sixth grade
Location: Cypress Creek Church
Schedule: Thursdays from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Program year: September through May
Students rotate through activities that may include history, science, art, book club, math games, culture study and nature study.
Important Dates
The 2026-27 program begins in September 2026. Specific first-day and holiday dates have not yet been posted publicly.
Other Notes
The Orchard is directing interested families to complete its Wimberley waitlist application. The program also plans approximately one field trip each month.
Back-to-School Help for Local Families
Barnabas Connection Back-to-School Fiesta
Back-to-school shopping can add up quickly, and Barnabas Connection is helping local students begin the year with the supplies and support they need.
The Back-to-School Fiesta is celebrating 20 years of serving the community.
Donations help provide:
- Backpacks and essential school supplies
- Dental, vision and immunization services
- Connections to helpful community resources
- Support and encouragement for local students and families
Barnabas Connection has served more than 8,800 students since 2006. Each backpack is filled with quality supplies valued at approximately $150-$200.
Sponsor a Local Student
A donation of $75 provides a student with a backpack and the tools needed to start the school year ready to learn.

Back-To-School Help for Local Teachers
Teacher Supply Drive
Help stock local classrooms by donating new school supplies during the Teacher Supply Drive at Cypress Falls Swimming Hole and Dark Skies Tavern, happening August 1–8. Each donation earns a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize basket featuring items donated by Socorro Distilling Co. and Twisted X Brewing Co.

Totally Rad Teacher Appreciation Night
Local teachers are invited to kick off the new school year with an ’80s-themed celebration at Dark Skies Tavern on Saturday, August 8. The evening will feature live music from Texas ATRAS, ’80s karaoke and plenty of retro fun. Break out your best ’80s outfit and help send Wimberley-area teachers into the school year feeling appreciated and celebrated.

Save the Date: Texas Sales Tax Holiday
Here’s a little good news for anyone staring down a long back-to-school shopping list!
The 2026 Texas Sales Tax Holiday runs Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9.
During the holiday, most qualifying clothing, footwear, school supplies and student backpacks priced at less than $100 per item can be purchased without sales tax.
That can save shoppers a little more than $8 for every $100 spent.
This may be the perfect weekend to tackle the school-supply list, replace those outgrown shoes and pick up a new backpack, while shopping locally whenever possible.
