About Wimberley Buzz
We’re the neighbors who can’t stop talking about this town.
Wimberley Buzz is a free newsletter, website, and local directory for Wimberley and the surrounding Hill Country. Locally hand-picked news, events, and eats — delivered to your inbox every Thursday morning, and always here on the site.
We cover Market Days traffic and Blue Hole reservations, the new taco truck by the creek and which low-water crossing is closed this week. We’re warm, we’re a little funny, and we love it here. No spam, no doom — just the good stuff, the way a neighbor would tell it.
Free forever. One email a week. Unsubscribe anytime, no hard feelings.
Hey y’all!
I’m Lynne, founder of Wimberley Buzz and a longtime lover of all things Texas.
Like many folks who end up here, I didn’t exactly plan on falling head over boots for this little slice of the Texas Hill Country — it just happened. And once it did, there was no going back.
I’ve spent years building local community websites, connecting neighbors, sharing stories, and helping people discover the best things happening right in their own backyard. Years ago, I founded Hays Happenings, a popular local lifestyle website that brought together thousands of residents across Hays County. After selling the site and spending several wonderful years focused on raising my family, I felt the pull back toward community publishing.
That’s where Wimberley Buzz comes in.
My goal is simple: to create the most helpful, upbeat, and locally focused guide to Wimberley possible.
Whether you’re looking for upcoming events, local businesses, swimming holes, live music, family-friendly activities, community happenings, or just an excuse to get out and explore, Wimberley Buzz is here to help you discover more of what makes this town special.
A few fun facts about me:
I’m an 8th-generation Texan.
I’ve lived all over Texas, including Buda, Kyle, Dripping Springs, Lubbock, Amarillo, Arlington, and now Wimberley.
I’m a homeschool mom, holistic health coach, and enthusiastic supporter of local businesses.
I love tea, hiking, family, and traveling.
What I love most about Wimberley isn’t just the beautiful scenery — although we definitely have plenty of that. It’s the people. The artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, volunteers, ranchers, teachers, shop owners, and neighbors who make this community feel like home.
Wimberley Buzz was created to celebrate all of it.
So whether you’re a lifelong local, a recent transplant, a weekend visitor, or someone dreaming about making Wimberley your home someday — welcome. We’re glad you’re here.
Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you around town.
