About Wimberley Buzz

It All Started with a Need

A local website, newsletter and guide to the events, businesses and people that make Wimberley feel like home.

I wanted to know what was happening around town. That sounds simple enough, but finding something to do meant checking different websites, scrolling through social media pages and trying to piece it all together.

And even after all that searching, I would still hear about things after they had already happened.

So I started thinking: what if we could put all, or at least most, of the events around town in one place?

That idea, combined with a passion for supporting local businesses, became Wimberley Buzz. We wanted to make it easier to find something to do, discover a local business and feel more connected to the place you call home.

And well, here we are. Welcome to Wimberley Buzz!

A Little More Connected to Wimberley

What I love most about Wimberley is the people. The shop owners who remember your name, the artists and musicians sharing what they love, the volunteers giving their time and the neighbors who show up for one another.

We want Wimberley Buzz to help you get to know more of them. Maybe that starts with an afternoon on the Square, a local art show, live music on a patio or something fun to do with the kids. Maybe it’s finding an organization you’d like to volunteer with or discovering a small business you hadn’t heard of before.

Whether you’ve been here for years or are still learning your way around, we hope the Buzz helps you enjoy more of life here.

About Lynne

Lynne Carwile, co-founder of Wimberley Buzz in Wimberley, Texas.

Hey y’all! I’m Lynne Carwile, an eighth-generation Texan who grew up in a small West Texas town.

My family moved to the Buda/Kyle area in 2014. With a background in online marketing, I started a local lifestyle website to help people find things to do around Hays County. I later sold that site, spent some time traveling with my family and eventually settled in Wimberley in 2024.

These days, I have two kids at home and one older child who has flown the nest. Away from the Buzz, you’ll usually find me hiking, walking our dogs, working on a craft project or exploring somewhere new with my family.

What You’ll Find Here

A Little Buzz Beyond Wimberley

As people in nearby communities saw what we were doing in Wimberley, they began asking if we could bring something similar to their towns. Those requests led to Buda Buzz and Kyle Buzz.

Wimberley is where this chapter started, and Wimberley Buzz will keep its focus right here on our community.
