Pickle Y’all
If pickleball is more than an occasional hobby, or you’d like it to become one, Pickle Y’all is Wimberley’s dedicated pickleball destination.
Located at the corner of Winters Mill Road and RR3237, the facility features four private, climate-controlled indoor courts, making it especially appealing during hot Texas summers, cold mornings or rainy days. There’s also a pro shop and staff on site.
Pickle Y’all offers opportunities for players of different skill levels, including open play, clinics, leagues and other organized play. It’s also a great place to start if you’re brand new to pickleball and would rather learn the basics before jumping into a pickup game.

Cypress Falls Pickleball Courts
You can also play pickleball at The Lodge at Cypress Falls.
There are three outdoor pickleball courts, and players currently check in at The Lodge front desk for a wristband. The listed cost is $5 per person, with courts available daily, although availability can be affected by hotel operations.
This is a particularly fun option if you want to turn your pickleball game into more of a Wimberley outing. Cypress Falls is also home to the swimming hole, pool and Dark Skies Tavern, so there are plenty of ways to hang around afterward.

Oaks Park at Cypress Creek Church
One of Wimberley’s newer community gathering spaces, Oaks Park is located on the Cypress Creek Church campus.
The privately owned park is open to the public and includes pickleball courts along with basketball courts, a large lawn, shaded playground and a giant tree net for kids.
That combination makes Oaks Park one of the easiest choices for families. Adults can get in a game while the kids have plenty of other ways to play nearby.
And perhaps the best part: the courts are free to use.

EmilyAnn Theatre & Gardens
You may know the EmilyAnn Theatre & Gardens for the Butterfly Festival, Trail of Lights, and its beautiful hillside grounds, but it’s also a great place to play pickleball.
EmilyAnn has three dedicated pickleball courts, along with two tennis courts. The courts are open during daylight hours and are free to the community.
With 12 acres of gardens, walking paths and recreational areas surrounding the courts, this is another spot where a quick pickleball game can easily turn into a longer afternoon outside.

Unity of Wimberley
Unity of Wimberley also has pickleball available for members of the church community.
Unlike the public options above, these courts are free for Unity of Wimberley church members, making them another place for locals already connected with the congregation to get together and play.

New to Pickleball?
One of pickleball’s biggest appeals is that you don’t have to be an experienced athlete to start playing.
The court is smaller than a tennis court, the paddle is relatively easy to handle, and games can be as casual or competitive as you want them to be. That makes the sport popular with everyone from families and younger players to active adults and retirees.
If you’ve never played before, Pickle Y’all is probably the easiest place to start if you’d like instruction or organized beginner play. EmilyAnn is also worth watching for clinics and recreational programs.
Otherwise, grab a friend, a couple of paddles and a few pickleballs and head to one of Wimberley’s free courts.
